I applied a green die this guitar. I chose to mix the stain with De-natured Alcohol and rub it on by hand rather than "Tinting" the Laquer. I feel the die mixed with Alcohol brings out the grain better. As you can see the Alder is not stained. I've found when staining Alder, it becomes blotchy, so I will "Tint" the Laquer later in the finishing process to make the entire guitar the Green color I'm after.
