Back Home Boys Newsletter- March 2007
What is This???
Hello to Everyone. We are trying something new this year. We are going to
be mailing a newsletter out every month which will include schedule performances
and the latest in BHB news.  You have been mailed this because we figured you
wouldn't get too upset.  Some of you signed up on our website and the rest of you
were fortunate enough to be on my home mailing list. We are asking that everyone
that gets this email,
Forward  it onto your friends or anyone that you think may be
interested in the band. Those who have had this email forwarded to them  can
Sign up by going to our
NEW and UPDATED website at
www.Thebackhomeboys.com  or click on the Link Below.  We also plan on using
the Mailing List for Ticket Drawings, Merchandise Drawings, and whatever else we
can think of.
What Have We Been Up To??
2006 was great for us.  It started out  on a shaky note in February when we
were put in a position to look for a new fiddle player.  Two weeks later we hired
Doug Stock, a Manchester, IA native. This guy can saw the hell out of the fiddle,
but like Michael, he is a very talented Steel Guitar Player also. He has played with
a couple of National Acts. You can read more about him on our website. We are
very lucky to have him in our lineup.

We upgraded our equipment again by adding some more to our light show and
we also added another set of speakers and new power amps to help push our
sound out farther for the bigger events and huge crowds we have been blessed
with the opportunity to play for. Every year we try to improve our stage show for
the fans. Unfortunately, we never got pictures of all the events, but we are going
to try very hard this year to get pictures from every show and post them every
Sunday on our website. So if you see a camera, smile pretty.

Things started in happening in April when we won the Q106 Country Pick Off in
Madison, WI.  We went on to win HODAG in Rhinelander, WI and were crowned
2006 Wisconsin Country Band of the Year for the second time, 2002 being the
first.  Later in May we got to open a show for Josh Gracin at the Five Flags
Center in Dubuque, IA.  This was the same Arena that Greg, Joe, and myself
went to see Ted Nugent and Kiss back in 1987.  Charlie (Bass Guitar) and
Jeanette got married in July and gave us an excuse to Drink Beer (like we need
one). The Management at Country USA in Oshkosh, WI hired us back for another
year and we had the opportunity to open for Rascal Flatts and Josh Turner as
well as playing for a huge crowd in the Beer Tent. We had several other
memorable shows throughout the summer and into the fall.

Whats Happening This Year??
We have another busy and awesome schedule lined up again for 2007.  You
can see where we are going to be on the "schedule" page on our website.  We
feel we have the strongest group together "musically" as what we have ever
had. We want to thank our wives, girlfriends, and children for allowing us to do
what we do. We also want to thank our fans for all of the support over the
years.  We have been able to expand our show from Gordon NE, to
Rhinelander, WI.  Keep Checking our website.  It will be updated weekly. See
you on the Road!!
